Department of Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering began its academic activities after obtaining the required permits and consequently admitted 60 undergraduate students in mechanical engineering in 2015. It now offers programs in three subdisciplines of solid mechanics, heat and fluid mechanics and manufacturing mechanics. The students choose one of these subdisciplines in the sixth semester and take the credits according to the recommended plan. Finally, the students are graduated only in mechanical engineering without the chosen subdiscipline being mentioned.
As the University of Science and Culture is affiliated to the Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research (ACECR), the USC Department of Mechanical Engineering is different from its counterparts due to the great capacity of ACECR engineering units, laboratories, and research centers and its professional faculty members and staff. Besides, postgraduate program in applied design in master degree is offered by the USC since Aug. 2020.
